It is built into every operational decision we make, from how we select our farming partners to how we handle storage waste, from how we train our workforce to how we engage with the governments and communities on whose land we work.
We hold ourselves to a simple standard: the communities and ecosystems we depend on should be stronger for having worked with us, not weaker.
Three Pillars of Our Approach
Community & Smallholder Equity
Our cooperative model puts smallholder farmers at the centre of the supply chain, not its margins. Through our buy-back guarantee programme, we commit to purchasing 100% of what our farmer partners produce, giving them market certainty and the confidence to invest in their own productivity. Our 2021 Côte d'Ivoire initiative, which lifted an entire cooperative through training, input supply, and guaranteed offtake, is the model we intend to scale.
Applied Research & Knowledge Transfer
One of the most persistent constraints on African agricultural development is the gap between what research institutions know and what happens in the field. We are actively closing that gap. Through partnerships with leading Canadian post-secondary institutions, we are bringing modern agronomy, precision farming methodology, and industrial processing knowledge directly into the West African context, training the workforce that will operate tomorrow's agro-industrial facilities.
Environmental Stewardship
We are developing responsible plantation and processing standards that address deforestation risk, water management, and carbon impact. Our Isiun Tank Farm is being built to industrial safety standards that exceed local regulatory requirements, including advanced spill containment, firefighting infrastructure, and waste-handling protocols.
Turning a Fragmented Supply Chain into a Thriving Cooperative.

In 2021, Idomit Agro identified a cooperative of smallholder farmers whose productivity was constrained by limited access to quality inputs, technical training, and a reliable market for their output. We invested in a two-year transformation: providing hands-on training in modern harvesting and crop management, supplying high-grade fertilisers and technical tools, and, crucially, guaranteeing to purchase 100% of every Fresh Fruit Bunch produced.
The result was not just a more efficient supply chain. It was a community with greater economic resilience, more consistent income, and the confidence to invest in the next season. This is the model we are taking to scale.
